WELCOME

Hello, my name is Daniel Allsopp and I'm a freelance software and web developer based in Morpeth, Northumberland close to Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England.

I have over ten years of industry experience, both as a freelancer and an employee, which during that time have been a part of design and development projects for many exceptional companies during those years, including Procter & Gamble, Northumbrian Water, Telewest, Northern Rock and many others.

Software development projects tend to be written for Microsoft Windows, mainly XP and Vista desktop systems, using Visual Studio 2008. Code is written using the ANSI C standard, utilising the Win32 API and various in-house custom DLLs to make development shift and efficient.

For web-based work, I specialise in standards-based HTML, XHTML, Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript (AJAX, script.aculo.us, JQuery etc.) web development. Each site I develop is built to be search engine friendly, and viewable on all major browsers using the latest development principles and techniques.
